About Exquisite Corpse
In 2001 while attending The Myers School of Art, Alex Draven participated in the annual holiday sale for credit in a Metalsmithing class. A limited amount of silver cast jewelry was made with the intent to be marketed to the Gothic sub-culture. What Alex found was that the products he made crossed over all genres and age groups of people and had a successful experience. Year after year, the production line became larger, more diverse, mixing old favorites with new items that moved beyond jewelry all together.
In 2006, after walking out of a bench test for a leading jewelry company, Alex Draven legitimized Exquisite Corpse Boutique. Since then, Exquisite Corpse Boutique has been growing by word-of-mouth, sponsoring events, and magazine advertisements/interviews.

EXQUISITE CORPSE ORIGINS
The game was invented by Surrealists in 1925, where players write/draw in turn of a sheet of paper, fold it to conceal part of the writing/drawing and then pass it to the next player to add their part. The name is derived from a phase that resulted when Surrealists first played the game, "Le cadavre exquis boira le vin nouveau." ("The exquisite corpse will drink the new wine.") Wikipedia

ABOUT ALEXANDER DRAVEN
Alexander Draven grew up in a small town outside of Akron, OH. Raised in a butcher shop and a hospital, he was bound to have a special, disturbed mind. Add 29 years of night terrors and he is understandably warped. Alex Draven's artwork is a blend of horror/macabre, Surrealism, Fetish and Steampunk subject matter in many different mediums pulling inspiration from his terrors and over active imagination. He enjoys sitting in the corner with a match and a gas can waiting to set the world on fire. He currently resides in the dark corners of his mind, where is is 72 degrees... all the time.
